Kingo Fujii, 84 of Wilmette, IL passed away June 4. Born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii he is survived by his son Saigo and daughter Thea; his grandchildren Kentaro and Meika; and his former wife Cynthia. Kingo a WWII Army Veteran was an artist who attended the University of Hawaii, The Honolulu Academy of Arts, The Chicago Art Institute and Instituto Allende, Mexico. He worked a variety of media including oil, watercolor, lithography, jewelry and sculpture. Kingo was also a scientific illustrator who illustrated for Encyclopedia Britannica and illustrated children's books. He loved singing and will be missed by many.
