March 5, 2012—SAIC alumna Vera Correll (BFA 2002) has been awarded a $25,000 Ecco DomaniFashion Foundation Style Starsaward together with her sister, Daphne, for their label Correll Correll. According to an announcement published February 23 on ARTINFO.com
(circ. 58,931), the twins have "joined a prestigious group that
includes many designers—Proenza Schouler, Rodarte, Alexander Wang, and
Thakoon, to name a few.” The news was also covered by the New York Times T magazine on February 1.
