SAIC takes a break from BareWalls in 2010; Looks Forward to Re-envisioned event in 2011
What are your ideas for the ideal alumni fundraising event to provide scholarships for SAIC students?
On behalf of the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, we want to thank all past Barewalls participants for giving back to the SAIC community by supporting student scholarships made possible through the annual Barewalls Benefit.
The Barewalls Benefit is currently being re-envisioned. For this reason, no alumni benefit will be held during the 2010-2011 academic year.
In order to offer you and others the very best alumni benefit experience, we will be surveying students, alumni and faculty for their ideas. Throughout the 15-year history of Barewalls, the event provided opportunities for alumni to reconnect with their colleagues, celebrate their work, support their alma mater, and contribute to scholarships for SAIC students. We will continue to fulfill these same goals while creating a unique opportunity for alumni to collaborate and support current SAIC students as they prepare to join the alumni community.
In the spirit of Barewalls, we encourage your participation during this transition year in two ways:
1) Share your ideas for the ideal alumni fundraising event in support of student scholarships by commenting below.
2) Support scholarships for current SAIC students by contributing to the SAIConnect Annual Fund at www.saic.edu/give.
You can also contact us directly at our below email addresses or visit www.saic.edu/give to learn about additional opportunities for supporting student scholarships and getting more involved in philanthropy at SAIC.
We also hope you will join us for the opening reception of the Ray Yoshida Exhibition at the SAIC Sullivan Galleries on November 12 and our annual Student Holiday Art Sale on November 18 – 20. A full calendar of alumni events and SAIC events and exhibitions is available by clicking here.
We truly appreciate your feedback and look forward to seeing you at future SAIC alumni programs and events.
