Alumna, artist and peace activist Indira Johnson (MFA 1967) was recently featured in Chicago magazine for her amazing public art project called Ten Thousand Ripples. For the project Johnson created 100 white fiberglass sculptures of the Buddha's head and, with the help of the non-profit Changing Worlds, distributed them across the city. The hope being to create "nonviolence through art." Johnson was also interviewed about this project by The Chicago Tribune.
