The Joffrey Ballet is seeking visual artists across all mediums to submit works that personify the theme of the 2013 Pointe of Departure Art Exhibition – "American Legends.” This theme is taken from the title of the Joffrey’s Winter Program, which features pieces by Jerome Robbins, Twyla Tharp, Gerald Arpino and Stanton Welch. Artists are encouraged to explore creative interpretations of "American Legends” ranging from classic examples of American art and dance to famous Americans. Deadline for proposal is 5pm on Friday, November 30, 2012.
